Los Angeles Shelter
It is a warm place with comprehensive care and support, assistance and protection for parents and families of children and adolescents from low income who are hospitalized.
This service arose from the need to provide accommodation and food to people who come from far apart places and in vulnerable conditions and for the recovery of their children that don´t have the resources and basic needs, above all, in cases of patients who are in critical care and face long hospital stays.
Requirement:
BUILDING A NEW “LOS ANGELES SHELTER”.
Hostel service is currently available to a maximum of 30 people per day, which is not enough considering that 85% of the population served by the Children's Hospital is poor and vulnerable. The aim is to increase the installed capacity by 100% compared to the current construction.
